Some times being a beginner and young magician when we’re getting ready to step-up into that stage, we tremble so much. This occurs to me constantly last time. But at the moment, I have overcome this trembling after learning these tips. They have solved the problem tremendously in my magic show. This information is concerning the best way to gain confidence in your magic show. Truly probably the most important part of being a great magician.
Confidence comes through knowledge and confirmation. You’ll need to ensure of all things will turn out fine. If you haven’t practice enough, your head is going to take over and suddenly your confidence will drop. Having said that, if you practice hard enough, you will definitely be confident. It is all on the subject of your mind.
Confidence is a lot more of a mood and psychic condition much more than how much you practiced. You’ve to inject the mood to feel confidence. Another point you must remember is don’t get worried too much. Stop thinking about your audience.
Develop presentation which fits your personal style, this is definitely where your confidence will boost. When your presentation is something that suits you, you feel much comfortable because that presentation is all dealing with being you.
As they say, practice makes perfect. Let’s suppose you’re practicing a sleight. Do it repeatedly, the task should come as an auto pilot for you. You no longer need to focus on the sleight. This will likely boost up your confidence. You’re able to concentrate in your presentation this way. The best possible is to practice and rehearse everyday so the presentation should come as automatic for you.
As a magician, we do have generally what we call a bad day. If you happen to get no response from the audience, it is not necessarily a failure. It’s simply called feedback. Think of it this way. Take this feedback to help you to improve your presentation.
Know what to do in the event you make a mistake! Always have a backup plan. Come up with a number of ways to get out of a situation when something fails. This is going to help on your confidence too.
Magicians often neglect this, but plan when you’d like an applause or some other reaction from your audience! If you didn’t plan, an unexpected audience reaction can ruin your timing. Consequently, this can disturb your concentration, and makes you lose confidence. You will have to make sure they know that they are allowed to react. The easiest thing to do would be to simply pause whenever the audience react. If you fail to arrange for any reaction time, you’ll get a scattered applause. You certainly do not want that.
And lastly, don’t worry! Above all, be happy with your presentation, cause if you ever make a mistake, just get on with the show. Nothing bad could happen. Just switch to Plan B.
